Midweek Inspiration: September #3

I'm not gonna lie, I've had a pretty rough week, guys. My lack of sleep and exhaustion have pretty much killed my immune system and consequently, here I am finding myself sick again. However, a couple of things brought smiles to my face this past week and somehow made me feel less awful. I'll be sharing some of them with you today!

I came across this quote a few days ago and it's easily one of my favorites, by far. It has helped me change my perspective on life. I'm the kind of person that doesn't like to be interrupted, especially when I'm working on a particular project. There are multiple instances where I  have shrugged off people that ask for my help and it's honestly something that I'm not very proud of! I probably did this so frequently (and unconsciously) to an extent where it already became a habit.  Recently, however, whenever I'm presented with an opportunity to help someone and I try to shrug it off, this quote comes to my mind and I act otherwise. It's still a work in progress but it's a rewarding feeling, I can assure you that! :)

While we're on the topic of helping others out, here's a video I stumbled upon that made my heart melt:

Since we're already talking about melting hearts, can we just...

Tell me that did not make you smile even just a little!! I think that animals are the best stress relievers!

Finally, I have something to share with you all and it's probably one of my greatest life accomplishments and easily, the highlight of my week (if not, my entire existence).

It's probably not a big deal to anyone, but I built my first piece of furniture! If there's one thing that can make you feel utterly incompetent, it's the Ikea manuals. I cannot tell you how many times I was so close to being done and giving up BUT I pushed through, guys. 5 hours and many splinters later, I can finally say I accomplished something I never would have thought I could.

Push your limits, believe in yourselves.

Kisses,

S
