What I Loved in August!

Alright, I'm not even going to talk about how fast this month went by because this whole entire year just seems like it wants to breeze past us so let's just let it be! However, what I will be talking about today is some of the things I enjoyed this month, the ones I can remember at least because honestly, this month was such a blur to me.

Louis Cole's Vlogs (AKA FunForLouis)

If I could trade places with anyone at this point in my life, it would be this guy! I've really gotten into watching Louis' vlogs because they give me a break from my sedentary life. He puts up daily videos and you would think that you'd get bored watching one person every single day but he goes on tons of adventures, he makes it impossible. If you haven't heard of his channel before, I highly recommend you check it out! He's actually one of the people who inspires me to, someday, travel the world! :)

Music

"Kiss Me" by Ed Sheeran was on repeat literally every night in August. I fell asleep to this song, woke up listening to it and as if that wasn't enough, I even listened to it on the way to work. Ed Sheeran is a lyrical God and this song is so beautiful, I cannot say enough good things about it! Speaking of good things, I've also re-discovered one of the most beautiful voices on YouTube, Kina Grannis. I was creeping on Kurt's channel and stumbled upon her video with Sam Tsui ("Bring Me the Night" - Sam Tsui & Kina Grannis") and completely fell in love with her voice all over again.

Apps

I was on a hunt for an app similar to the "Gratitude Journal" and I came across one called "Happier", and trust me, I couldn't be happier about it.  It's a wonderful place to store and share your happy moments. I've been using it constantly, not only to share my happy moments, but to also see what's making other people smile. Follow my happy moments by searching for my email (mykiwiseed@yahoo.com) on the app!

Another app that I've been using frequently is the "Spending Tracker" which basically does just that, tracks your spendings. I always question where my money flew when it's nearing the end of the month, and I like that with this app, I can easily see where and what exactly I spent my money on that month.

Both these apps are free and can be found on the Apple app store!

Food

The child inside me has come alive because this month all I've been craving is cereal! Particularly, Frosties!! I pour some V-Soy soy milk over it and it makes the perfect meal for me. Yes, I say meal because I confess to eating this for lunch and dinner sometimes. There's just something about cold milk and crunchy cereal that, even for just a few minutes, makes me feel safe and secure. Another thing I've enjoyed drinking this month is from the other end of the stick and it's a hot drink - the peach and mango tea by Lipton! It's a great afternoon tea and it smells divine!

Beauty

Towards the end of August, my lips started to peel and chap and it was quite gross. So, I picked up this lip scrub from Lush and it has saved me! I use it in conjunction with the Nivea lip butter and I couldn't ask for softer lips if I wanted to! :)

Blog

This month, a blog has made it's way into a very special place in my heart. There are only so many people who can pull me and drown me in their words and The Girl in the Moonlight is one of them! I'm obsessed with the way she puts things into words. She has a way of making you feel like you're with her in everything that she writes! Please check out her blog posts and you'll know what I mean!

The Little Things

Last but definitely not the least, the one that made every minute of the month worthwhile for me, my baby nephew. It's a mystery to me how something so small can occupy a giant space in my heart.

Here's to more happy moments in the months ahead!

Kisses,

S
