Cute finds from Forever 21!

I was recently on the Forever 21 website and I saw that they were coming out with a lot of their new stuff for spring/summer! Some of the things I spotted were super cute so I thought I'd blog about them! These are just going to be accessories and shoes, though! For clothing and more, check out their website! :3

I'm really hoping my Forever 21 has these items in stock! Or it would probably be better if they don't cause I think I wouldn't be able to control myself! :')

Which item is your favorite? Feel free to leave it in the comments below! <3

Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes! ♥

Have you ever been stuck in a situation where you have absolutely no idea what to get for someone who has everything? Last week, it was my mom's birthday and I found myself stuck, yet again, in this situation. After hours of thinking, I finally stumbled upon this idea on Pinterest and decided to give it a whirl. I was pretty happy with the outcome and so was my mom! So, today, i'll be going through all the steps on how to make these cute little ice cream cone cupcakes that are perfect for a birthday or any occasion really!

Things you'll need:

♥ Muffin tin

♥ Measuring cups and spoons
♥ Aluminum foil
♥ Mixer
♥ Mixing bowls
♥ Piping bag/giant zip lock bag
♥ 12 pieces of flat-bottom ice cream cones - I used Keebler (found it at The Sultan Center!)
♥ 1 box funfetti cake mix (any brand) - I used Pillsbury
Cake mix box calls for vegetable oil, eggs & water (exact measurements stated on box)
♥ Cream cheese frosting (see recipe below)
♥ Variety of toppings (I used fresh strawberries, sprinkles, kit kats, funzels and m&m’s among other fun things!)

Directions:

1) Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).

2) Take a sheet of aluminum foil and wrap it on top of the muffin tin. Poke small holes in the center of each of the muffin holes using a skewer or any sharp object.

3) Using your fingers, exaggerate each hole making it big enough for the cones to fit in snugly. This will hold your cones in place and will prevent them from tipping over while baking.

4) Prepare cake batter as directed on the box and divide batter evenly among the ice cream cones (two-thirds full). Make sure not to over fill the cones otherwise the batter will bubble over!

5) Once finished filling all the cones with batter, pop them inside the oven and bake for 20-23 minutes or until toothpick inserted in cake comes out clean.

6) Using a fork, poke the bottom of the cupcake cones lightly to allow some of the steam to escape. Cool completely for 30 minutes to 1 hour.

7) Once completely cooled, the fun can begin! Frost your cupcakes using a piping bag. If you don’t have a piping bag available, take a giant zip lock bag, place frosting inside and snip off one of the corner edges and frost away! After frosting, decorate as desired!

Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe:

♥ 1 (8oz) package cream cheese, softened
♥ 1/4 cup butter, softened
♥ 1 cup icing sugar
♥ 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Makes enough frosting for 12 cupcakes

Directions:

In a mixing bowl, cream together the cream cheese and butter until a creamy consistency is achieved. Mix in the vanilla. Gradually stir in the icing sugar. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.

Here are a few more pictures from my mom's birthday...

I decided to make a small cake out of the remaining batter I had. It was my first time to ever frost anything so excuse the chubby handwriting! :3

And there's my mom about to blow out her birthday candles!

This was how I styled my hair for the day! I got this bow from Forever 21 a while back and it remind me so much of the bow emoji on my phone! :)

We had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe and I got this giant delicious veggie burger! It was really good, I finished the entire thing!

Things I'm Loving Lately!

Hey guys! I'm super excited about today's post because I'll be talking about some of my most favorite things right now! I thought this could be a fun way to show you guys the products/things that are currently making me the happy kitten that I am!

Snow Fairy shower gel
I got this shower gel from Lush a couple of months ago since they were having all their holiday stuff on sale and it might be the best decision I’ve ever made (shower gel picking wise! :3) I’m horrible at describing scents but what it smells like to me is a candy shop! I use this almost every day! <3

Next thing I have currently been using a lot has been this Baby Lips lip balm in the shade pink punch! It smells so yummy that I’ll admit I sometimes just take it out to smell it! But when I do actually use it, it leaves my lips moisturized and gives a hint of color and shine.

I already hauled this in a previous post but this body spray has been my go to scent since I got it! I use it after I shower and it leaves me feeling so happy! :D

I'll definitely agree with what it says on the bottle! Hands down, the most "astonishing" hand cream I've ever tried! My hands have recently been getting super dry and this product has been helping me a lot! What I like about it is that unlike other creams, it doesn’t leave your hands feeling greasy AT ALL. It instantly sinks into your skin and all you’re left with is hands as soft as a baby’s bum!

Forever 21 earring set
I’ve found myself reaching out for earrings from this set more than anything these past few weeks. Since there’s a good mix between silver and gold, they go with absolutely any outfit! This was also fairly cheap for the amount of earrings you get!

Black "TOMS"
Next thing I’ve been loving are these “TOMS” inspired shoes. I use them mostly for work when I’m too lazy to look for anything else (which is almost every day heh heh) but they’re comfortable and they also go with almost any outfit. ;)

Original Tim Tam chocolate biscuits
Oh my goodness, this chocolate!!!! Why has it taken me this long to try it out I’ll never know. But I picked up my first packet of these about a month ago and honestly, it’s one of the most delicious chocolates I’ve ever tried. If you like Twix, I’m sure you’ll love this! I know they have a few flavors out but I got the original and it's so so good!

Twinings Lemon & Ginger tea
I've never really been much of a tea person, but since I've been getting sick lately, I find that sipping on something warm helps me out. Luckily, I stumbled upon this tea while grocery shopping one day. What I like about it is that it's light and when you swallow it, it has this sort of spicy feeling as it's going down your throat. I can't explain it but it feels extremely soothing especially when you have a sore throat! I take this with a teaspoon of honey every night and it makes me feel so calm and relaxed. :)

The Carrie Diaries TV series
Since 90210 is currently on a break, I've had time to catch up on The Carrie Diaries and I'm happy to say I'm all caught up with it! Just in time for the season finale! I enjoy watching this show a lot and I think that AnnaSophia Robb does an incredible job at playing the role of Carrie! The clothes make me cringe sometimes, I must admit, but overall, it's a pretty entertaining show for me.
YouTube!!! I've been on YouTube more than anything lately and the channel I recently discovered and I'm pretty much obsessed with right now is JacksGap. Aside from that, I've also been enjoying watching random vlogs and watching cover videos which leads me to my next favorite thing right now...

Julia Sheer and Jon D's cover of Little Talks, originally by Of Monsters and Men! I cannot even explain how obsessed I am with this song right now! Like honestly, I can literally listen to it on repeat all day and I'd still want more. I think what I like most about this is that it's stripped down to an acoustic version.

iBooks
I love reading books and I find it difficult to carry around physical copies of books everywhere so thank you iBooks creators! If you don't know what iBooks is, it's basically an app where you can read your downloaded books on your phone! Plus, it's free! I've been using this so much lately! I just finished reading a ton of Abbi Glines' books (which are really addicting btw!) and I'm currently reading Slammed by Colleen Hoover and loving it so far!
